Ending Wednesday, October 10 at 1:00 p.m.
The joint SCA and NVCN conference planning committee invites you to join us in Indianapolis for the 2018 National Conference: "Driving Passion & Performance." Participants will have unique opportunities to learn from others, share their experiences, be inspired with innovative programs, renew their leadership and relax in good company at this conference. Individually, we are all immersed in creating a society that values and supports people as they age. Together, we will increase our drive and passion to enhance our programs and services.
About Our Collaborative Networks
Shepherd’s Centers of America is a national network of nearly 60 centers providing social support and educational services that build community connections and allow older adults to age in place with purpose and dignity. These services advance opportunities that reduce isolation and encourage older Americans to take on new challenges, learn new skills, make new friends, and serve others. Since its founding more than four decades ago by the late Rev. Dr. Elbert Cole, more than 2 million older adults have been helped.
The National Volunteer Caregiving Network (formerly The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Faith in Action program with a 34-year history) brings together faith and community organizations to match volunteers with elderly neighbors and those living with chronic health conditions or disabilities. Through its network of 650 programs, in every state around the country, volunteers help with informal, non-medical caregiving. This assistance allows people to live with dignity, in a setting that is highly cost-effective, and provides the greatest independence and quality of life.
